Updating Device Information

Within IDMS, once entered, the device information cannot be changed because it is assumed the device identification information has been permanently assign to a device by the manufacturer or management system. For example, a smart card has a serial number that has been programmed into the chip at the factory.

To update a device, the device would first need to be deleted from the IDMS and the reregistered with the updated information.
