IDMS Training
Learning Objectives
The Identity Management System (IDMS) training provides knowledge for badging officials and administrators to perform the procedures to identity proof and issue a secure credential. The training covers the processes for identity enrollment, approval, and credential issuance. It also covers common administrative and troubleshooting tasks to ensure the system is always operating at its peak performance. The learning goals of this course are:
Understanding the identity proofing process and why it is required
Learning the step-by-step procedures to request, acquire identity data, and approve applicants for a credential
Understanding and resolving common errors
Running reports to gather information about the enterprise credentialing status
Common administrative tasks required for optimal system performance
Class Prerequisites
To get the most from the course, it is important to a fully functioning enrollment workstation and IDMS server be available to the class participants. The following setup is recommended.
An IDMS operator with full permissions to the IDMS and CMS
Credential Management System (CMS) set up and operational.
IDMS server set up and operational
IDMS enrollment workstation with the camera, fingerprint scanner, and smart card reader
Test identity documents that will be used as a substitute for the I-9 documents
Test smart cards that can be used for encoding
