Credential Types
The credential policies allow you to define exactly how the identity proofing and credentialing processes should be conducted. It has a wide range of configuration from Identity Proofing to Badge Printing. Using the credential type settings, organizations can specify qualification rules to ensure users meet certain business rules before they can be assigned to a specific credential type.
Identity Proofing: Configure the processes required to verify the applicant is the person they claim to be.
Intake Questions: Specify additional questions for use in the identity proofing or MFA creation process.
Attestation: Verify transactions were conducted properly with through the use of digital signatures:
Device Issuance: Define the policy type, custom programming information, and even the printing controls for device issuance.
Badge Layout: Create custom layouts based on dynamic data for the printing of smart badges or temporary IDs.

Required Permissions: SystemManager
To get to the Credential Type Configuration screen, login with the SystemManager permission, go to Administration and Click “Credential Types”.
To Create a New Credential Policy
Click on the + Credential Policy Button
In the Add User Credential Type, enter the requested information and then press the Add button.
