YubiKey not recognized

Scenario: When attempting to encode a YubiKey, the IDMS cannot detect the YubiKey device

Steps

  1. Run the YubiKey Manager and see if the YubiKey Manager will display the firmware and serial number

  2. If the YubiKey Manager does not display the information, keep the YubiKey manager software open, and gently remove and insert the YubiKey device. See if the YubiKey firmware and serial number is diplayed

  3. When the YubiKey Manager displays the firmware and serial number, close all browsers. Next, go to the task manager and stop the CyberArmedPivIT.exe (if running)

  4. Reopen the browser, log into IDMS, and attempt to read the YubiKey again.
