Accessibility Notice

Accessibility

IDMS is designed to be usable by the widest possible audience, including people who use assistive technology. This page describes the application's accessibility features and how to use them.

Keyboard

The application can be operated using a keyboard alone:

  • Tab (forward)/ Shift + Tab (backward) to move between controls in a logical order.

  • Enter or Space activates the focused control.

  • Arrow keys move within menus and lists.

  • Esc closes dialogs and menus and returns focus to where you were.

A visible focus indicator shows which control is currently selected.

Screen Readers

The application is compatible with standard screen readers and has been tested with NVDA in Google Chrome. Page regions, headings, control names and roles, and status and error messages are exposed to assistive technology, so they are announced as you navigate.

Display and Color

  • Color themes: You can select the color theme that is most comfortable for you from your display settings.

  • Text resizing: Use your browser's zoom (for example, Ctrl + Plus / Cmd + Plus) to enlarge text up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.

  • Text and interface colors are designed to meet WCAG AA contrast requirements.

Session Timeout Notifications

For security, the application ends inactive sessions. Before a session ends, a warning appears with a countdown and a "Stay signed in" button. Select it to keep working without losing your place.

Language

The application is available in English. The page language is set in the application so that screen readers pronounce content correctly.

Assistive Technology Compatibility

The application runs in a standard web browser and works through the browser's built-in accessibility services. It supports keyboard-only operation and screen readers. For the best experience we recommend a current version of Google Chrome with NVDA.

Accessibility Conformance

An Accessibility Conformance Report (VPAT®), based on the Revised Section 508 Standards and WCAG 2.0 Levels A and AA, is available upon request.
