3rd party Identity Proofing Management
When an applicant is requested with a credential type that specifies a background investigation to be performed, the applicant’s status is tracked in the Identity Proofing portal. This portal will list the current stage of processing and enable operators to manually check the background status.
Identity Proofing Stages
The stages help the organization understand what process is currently being conducted for the applicant.
Stage Name | Description | Processing Action |
---|---|---|
REQUESTED | A IDMS request has been made for the user to undergo identity proofing by a 3rd party identity proofing service. | When the process button is pushed, IDMS will contact the 3rd party identity proofing service to open an identity proofing case. The 3rd party identity proofing service will take over from this point. |
OPENED | An investigation request has been opened with a 3rd party identity proofing provider and is currently being processed. | When the process button is pushed, IDMS will contact the 3rd party identity proofing service to determine the status. If the 3rd party identity proofing service process is complete, IDMS will download the identity proofing report and related photo and identity documents. |
