Card Expiration Date Settings
By default the IDMS specifies a 5 year max for a card expiration date. To configurate the years the card is valid, the Card Validity setting can be used.
Creating an expiration date past 5 years requires a CMS change. Perform the procedures in the CMS Configuration section to be able to set the expiration date past 5 years.

CMS Configuration
When setting an expiration date past 5 years, the CMS system must be updated. The procures are as follows:
Go to the CMS server
Go to the folder c:\ProgramData\HID Global\Credential Management System\Shared Files
Backup the PIVEnrollment.properties (in case it needs to be restored)
Edit the PIVEnrollment.properties
Locate the ExpirationDate.store_enforcedFormat.maxDuration.value setting
Set the value to the desired years. For example, the configuration below is for a 6 year max expiration.

Save the PIVEnrollment.properties
Restart the CMS Service
